Also written on my phone because I had an hour long meeting from hell.

Izuku was mumbling quietly to himself, thumb swiping up and down on his phone as he stared at pictures of animals ready to adopt, going over the pros and cons of each breed and type, as well as questions about possible compatibility issues between them and a prospective pet based on the data the site listed.

“Izuku,” Todoroki’s – no, Shouto’s, he had to get used to using his given name – clear voice cleaved nearly through his storm of anxious muttering. “It’s not a fight against villains, we’re just going to get a pet together. No big deal.”

Ii- Tenya shook his head. “While I agree with Shouto that you seem to be overthinking this, adding someone to our family -” Tenya actually called them a family, he thought of them as good as his brother and his parents!! – “isn’t to be taken lightly. We have to consider the laws of our apartment complex and a number of other factors-“

Shouto made an impatient sound, even as he continued walking, “We’ll find one when we get there. And if none of them meshes well with us, we’ll try another place. And another until we find an animal we can all live with.”

That… was a good plan, really. “Thank you,” Izuku flashed a smile, even as he started putting his phone away. Taking a deep breath and slitting his hands into his boyfriends’, Izuku steeled himself before entering through the automatic doors of the animal shelter.
