i\’m so sorry this was late ;3; there was a number of things that happened rip. i hope you enjoy!!

Mitsuki mentions at their wedding (their actual wedding, years later and not the one from when they were practically cubs, dressed up for their parents’ amusement) that Katsuki and Izuku first meet at a Yule party. And not just any party, but the imperial party.

To be entirely accurate, their mothers meet first, when Mitsuki finds a worrying Midoriya Inko, pram empty as the slight omega tried to look into the crowd of partygoers.

“Where’s your brat?” the blonde asked the fretting omega. Mitsuki didn’t know everyone at these sort of gatherings, it’s what she had Masaru for, honestly, and she distantly hoped she wasn’t being crass with some queen or princess. She was military and dealt with commanders and generals almost exclusively.

The slighter woman pointed past the secret service agents towards King Yagi, who was holding a green haired pup and cooing at it. It was very obvious that she was the dam and, unless the king had an illicit affair that no one knew about he must have probably said hi to the woman, asked to hold her baby, and then left, baby still in hand. Toshinori had come by their table earlier that evening, speaking with Mitsuki about infantry lines on the northern front when he paused and started playing with her own kid for a few minutes before his attendant Sasaki pulled him away to greet other guests. For a man with no children of his own, he absolutely loved doting on them and it’s no wonder he hadn’t grabbed one and absconded to play peek-a-boo earlier in the night.

“Yeah, you’re not getting him back for a bit, but don’t worry, he’s in good hands, isn’t he?”

This ended up not being the right thing to say when Inko burst into frustrated, anxious tears into the blonde’s shoulder blade. Mitsuki couldn’t make out what the smaller woman was saying into her dress, but she must have secreted enough distressed alpha pheromone to mix with Inko’s omega one for her mate to come to her side, Masaru holding their own pup with a bemused look.

Help me , she mouthed over Inko’s shoulder.

Masaru chuckled, “Good evening miss? I do need my wife back for a bit.” It took a few moments before Inko registered someone was talking to her. She moved away with a gasp, looking sheepish.

“Oh, I-I’m sorry!”

“New mother?” he asked.

Inko nodded.

He angled himself a bit so the omega could see Katsuki who, somehow, was not being a little shit and sleeping through everything. “This is Katsuki, our second child. Don’t let my Mitsuki fool you, she was just as much a nervous wreck as you were with our Koushou.”

Mitsuki’s indignant squawk was drown out by Inko’s laughter.

“Now, why don’t you tell me about yourself while Mitsuki here gets your pup for you?”

Even as she grumbled, Mitsuki listened to her mate, ready to somehow wrestle a baby out of their king’s hands so she could return it to its mom.

The Bakugou’s have the Midoriya’s at their estate many times over the years, watching the two pups interact, play together, make flower crowns and propose with cupcakes.

But then Hisashi is deployed to the border and the family moves way. Sooner than they hope, the children forget, idyllic days of the two playing becoming nothing more than distant memories.
